Aloha!

Aloha everyone! It's been a good week here in Hawaii, full of adjusting. I have loved getting to know our new ward and loved getting to know my companion more, she is the best!! It was her 20th birthday yesterday so we celebrated...and also worked hard (duh)!

I haven't done much teaching this week because I have been sending a lot of online friends to their local missionaries. It is awesome being able to call missionaries from all over the world and tell them that there is someone in their area who is getting closer to baptism and they get to continue to teach them. The missionaries get so excited when we call them!!

Some good news is we got lots of rain this week which was fun. When it rains it pours!! Some bad news is that the rain tends to make the power go out hahah! All day Friday the power was out at the visitor center so we were trying to show people around with our flashlights.  It was kind of not going well, but then something really cool happened!! l always have a Book of Mormon in my mumu pocket and then I have one that I hold that is all marked up. It was the very end of our shift and I was about to put the Book of Mormon in my pocket back on she shelf for someone to take, but I had the weirdest feeling that I should keep it in my pocket. I thought to myself "there is literally 3 minutes left until we leave and nobody is in the Visitor Center because the power is out. I will not need this book.”,  but I kept it in my pocket. As I was walking to the back a couple showed up out of nowhere and started asking us all about our church and what makes us different from other Christian churches. I had the book in my pocket and I was able to explain what makes us different and how we have the Book of Mormon and then I gave the copy to them!! The spirit is real. LISTEN for it.

General Conference is this weekend and consider yourself lucky if you are watching it at 10am in Utah! This might be one of the only reasons I wake up at 5:30am hahah but I am so excited to hear from our Prophet and others who are called to speak to us!

There is no doubt in my mind that President Nelson has been called to lead us by our loving Father in Heaven. Listen to his words, they are the words of our Savior.

With much love, Sister Crowley
