It's the Hawaiian way to say Merry Christmas to you!  I hope everyone has had the best Christmas! This past week has been full of so many Christmas activities which has been the best. We were able to spend all of Christmas Eve in Honolulu with the rest of the Oahu Missionaries for Zone Conference. The first half of the day was full of training and all that good stuff and then the rest was a Christmas party. We made gingerbread houses and had a big white elephant gift exchange. It was such a blessing Zone Conference happened to be on Christmas Eve.  We drove home and all of the sisters in our zone ate enchiladas and watched The Polar Express together.  Coolest experience at the Visitor Center this week! There have been so many tourists from all over here this week. One morning we were showing a family a video and as we were walking out of the theatre I saw a couple out of the corner of my eye (not even dramatic) who was walking around outside of the Visitors Center. Farewell Hawaii, Honolulu Mission

Image
yep, you heard it right. soon to no longer be the hawaii honolulu mission. we found out last thursday that our mission will be splitting with the new year which is actually so sad :( i loved my mission president and loved going to honolulu for special occasions BUT its okay because it only means that the good word is spreading faster than ever!  nothing too crazy happened this week other than a couple of floods, but nothing we can't handle. i guess the houses are all built 5 feet off the ground for a reason. it poured all day and night saturday, sunday, and monday. i finally got to take my rain jacket and umbrella out of my suitcase!  we invited our whole ward (all 14 couples) to come to the visitor center on friday to watch the christ child with us for light the world. unfortunately only one couple came & the senior missionary couple but it was still great! i love showing the visitor center guests the christ child not just so i can sit down for a ...

Christmas Time In Laie!

The Christmas season is in full swing here in Hawaii! I love it. 21 Christmas trees, 90 poinsettia, and countless lights later, the Visitor Center looks like Disneyland at Christmas time. (I would definitely recommend coming to visit ) All of the stakes on Oahu got to decorate a tree in the Visitor Center and they are all so unique. There is also a "sisters tree" which is covered in homemade ornaments from all of the missionaries here. I obviously glued pictures of my family on a pineapple juice can, nothing describes me more perfectly! This week at the Visitor Center we met two girls- Bella & Angela. They actually came to the Visitor Center my first transfer here with the elders. At the end of the tour one of the elders invited Angela to be baptized. She said she would have to think about it.. but GOOD NEWS when I saw her she told me she was getting baptized in October. The married student's are doing so good! All I want for Christmas is to stay in their ward. A f...
