Stuck In Quarantine...
I’ve had a wild week here in Hawaii that consisting of... staying home. All that I can say is that I have a whole new level of respect for the missionaries who had to quarantine for weeks and even months at a time!
Because all the Visitor Center Sisters do so much together, if one goes down, we all go down! Unfortunately, it was my companion who go sick :( She couldn't come out of our room and I couldn't go in. Luckily we live with 7 other sisters, so I had people to keep me company while we were stuck in our house. My schedule looked like this: personal study, contacting, personal study, lunch, personal study…. you get the point!! After 3 days of staying home (it seemed like 3 months), we were free to leave!
One of the coolest things about serving in Hawaii is all of the different cultures we get to experience. We get fed so many different types of food and meet so many different groups of people. Last night we were able to have Vietnamese food for dinner. It was actually pretty good. The way we ate was a lot weirder than what we actually ate! The pictures can speak for themselves! Hahaha
One of my favorite things that I studied this week was in Come Follow Me! In section 124:44 it says, “If ye labor with all your might, I will consecrate that spot that it shall be made holy"
I love how applicable it is to basically anything. God is always there to help us but we need to show Him we need and want the help. We need to do our part, turn to Him, and to put in the effort. I know that if we all do that He will help us!
