Elder Bednar x3!!

Ok… Sunday was the best! Our mission had the opportunity to hear from Elder Bednar and it was so cool! They flew all of the missionaries from the outer Islands in and we had a big Mission Conference with everyone! The Honolulu, Hawaii Mission is one of the largest missions, with over 500 missionaries (including all of the Senior Couples) and we were all together inside the Stake Center listening to him. It was the first time in history that all of the Hawaii Missionaries were all together.

I was also able to listen to Elder Bednar earlier that morning because he spoke to all of the married students at their Stake Conference. It was so cool because even though he was speaking to the married students and it wasn't super applicable to my situation, the Spirit is able to teach you individually so I was able to learn so much.

To end Sunday, I was also able to attend the BYU Hawaii weekly devotional where Elder Bednar also spoke! 6 hours later of hearing from him and I still wasn't sick of him one bit! One of my favorite things I learned from him was that faith comes by acting and not just by saying you have faith! Serving at a Visitor Center can be tough sometimes because sometimes you only have 15 minutes with someone and then they leave. You don't know if they will go home and act on what they felt, if they will reach out to local missionaries, or if nothing will come of that interaction. You have to have the faith that you are doing all that you can and that is enough!

Shoutout to our Area President, who is now letting us eat with members everyday! Even though we are in a Married Student Ward they are so humble about what they have and always want to feed us. We have had Fijian food, Mongolian food, and some other food that I don't even want to guess where it came from! Gotta love all of the different cultures here!

With Much Love, Sister Crowley
