MAUI!!

You heard it right... I am now on Maui!! I was shocked when I found out that I would be leaving Laie. I never expected to leave the Visitor Center so soon, and I honestly didn't want to leave for a couple more transfers but obviously there is a reason I am here and I'm so excited to find out why. It's all about God's timing and not mine!

We are over a YSA branch that covers the whole Island and a family ward that is in Waiehu (basically the middle of the Island). I was so nervous to leave the Visitor Center but everything has been so good, so far! My companion has been in this area for three transfers so she basically knows everyone. Something so funny about our ward is basically everyone is related and everyone knows everyone... oh and everyone lives together.

When my companion first got here in September she was one of the first sisters in this area in 40 years. Needless to say, people are still shocked when they see sister missionaries. I have already been called “Elder Crowley" twice but I do not have the heart to tell them that elder doesn't mean missionary.

Our area covers the "Hawaiian homes" which is a subdivision that you have to be at least 60% Hawaiian to live in. Laie had a huge mix of tons of different cultures but I love being surrounded by Hawaiians all the time now that I am in Maui.

I had to say goodbye to my favorite married student ward in Laie (the blue building)  and lots of the missionaries that am close with at the Visitors Center because they will be going home while I am gone, but I'm grateful for the past 6 months I gave had to serve with them. I love the people here they are the sweetest people I have ever met and I am so blessed to be able to serve them for the next couple months. Even if I'm only here for the extra prayers for them I will consider it a privilege.

With Much Love,  Sister Crowley
