Labor Of Love
"Ivan looveeedd the plan of salvation! He has found so much JOY in the gospel!" "We asked him how he liked church He said he looooveeeddd it!!!! He was sooo happy! We asked him if we can move up his baptismal date to August 7th. He said yesss!!"
That right there is what makes missionary work so great! Someone we have been teaching online started meeting with his local missionaries and this is how they said it was going. In a mission call letter it says "more joy than you have yet experienced await you as you humbly and prayerfully serve the Lord in this labor of love among His children" SO TRUE
This week one of the trams from the Polynesian cultural center came to the visitors center and we showed them a quick 2 minute video showing some videos of the inside of the temple. After the video a 9 year old boy spent 5 minutes trying to find the "pool" (baptismal font) until he finally asked for help finding it and we had to break it to him that he was only in the visitors center and not in the actual temple.
I was able to see a couple members from my ward on Maui this week which was super exciting.
A lot of our ward went home for summer so we have been combining with three ysa wards which has been fun because there are lots of people but also tricky because you don't know who is actually in our ward. In one of our lessons this week we watched the final Book of Mormon video about Moroni burying the plates and Joseph Smith finding them. The video puts into perspective how much faith and dedication Moroni put into the plates and paving a way for us to have the book today!
Watch the video!
All of my aloha, Sister Crowley
