Pearl Harbor!

The best day of the year here in laie has come & gone. FOOD FEST. All of the clubs pick a dish to make and then around the flag circle everyone sells them as a fundraiser. Lots of students and members of the community are there!

Yesterday I was able to go to Pearl Harbor for a few hours and do service! We hung flags all around the USS Missouri battleship for Veterans Day on Friday! It was such a cool experience being there and hearing stories of when pearl harbor was attacked in 1941!

In August of 1941, the Honolulu Tabernacle was dedicated by David O. Mckay. In the dedicatory prayer, he blessed "the edifice that no missile would strike it in any war.” Just 4 months later was the attack on Pearl Harbor, but the tabernacle was left untouched!

This past week BYU H had a devotional with Sheri Dew and she talked all about prophets and how they can see beyond what we can. (https://speeches.byuh.edu/prophets-can-see-around-corners)

How incredible is it that we have the restored gospel of Jesus Christ here on the earth today? Because the gospel has been restored we have Prophets and apostles who are called by God to guide and direct us!

All of my aloha, Sister Crowley
